IntroAbout the Book of ObadiahThere were many wars between the Israelites and the people from Edom. Genesis 27 and Numbers 20:14-21 tell us why these wars happened.God gave Obadiah a message for the Israelites who lived in Judah. He does this after Babylon's army has destroyed Jerusalem. People from Edom were happy when Babylon's army attacked Jerusalem. They refused to help God's people. So God was angry with the people of Edom. He warned them in this message that he gave to Obadiah.In his message, God tells the Israelites that he still loves them. He remembers what the people of Edom did. God tells the Israelites that he will punish the people of Edom. God's people will be powerful once again.
