1and the children of Reuven and the children of Gad have have had many livestock, very a many, and they have seen this land Yazer and this land Gil'ad, behold the place is an place for livestock.
2are the children of Gad and the children of Reuven having come, and they have said to Moshe, and to El'azar the kohen, and to the chieftains of the assembly, so to say:
3Atarot, and Divon, and Yazer, and Nimrah, and Cheshbon, and Elealeh, and Sevam, and Nevo, and Be'on,
4this land which Hashem has struck before the assembly of Yisroel, is a land for livestock, and your servants have livestock.
5and they have said: if we have found favor in your eyes, shall the this land given become your servants to ancestral property; you(SG) must us not pass over the Yarden.
6has Moshe said to the children of Gad and to the children of Reuven: your (PL) brothers shall go in war, and you (PL) shall sit here?
7and for which (why) shall you (PL) turn aside the heart of the children of Yisroel from cross over in the land which Hashem has them given?
8so have done your (PL) fathers, when I have them sent from Kadesh-Barnea to look at this land.
9because they are having gone up unto valley of Eshcol, and have looked at this land, and they have turned aside the heart of the children of Yisroel, not to go in the land, which Hashem has them given.
10and the anger of Hashem has kindled in that day, and he has sworn an oath, so to say:
11if the men which are having gone up from Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, will see the land, which I have sworn to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Yaakov! because they are not having gone faithful/devoted after me.
12aside from Kalev the son of Yephunneh, the Kenizi, and Yehoshua/Yeshua the son of Nun, because they are having gone faithful/devoted after Hashem.
13and the anger of Hashem has kindled on Yisroel, and he has them made wander in the wilderness forty year, until the whole generation which has done this evil things in the eyes of Hashem, is destroyed having become.
14and behold are you (PL) arose in the place of your (PL) fathers, a rebellious house of sinner men, yet adding to the wrath of Hashem on Yisroel.
15because that you (PL) turn self away from in back of him, will he them again leave in the wilderness, and you (PL) will destroy this this whole people.
16have they come near to him, and have said: sheepfold for our livestock will we here build, and towns for our small children.
17but we ourselves will be ready arm ahead of before the children of Yisroel, until when we have them brought upon their place; and our small children will sit/dwell in the fortified cities of account of the inhabitants of land.
18me will self not return in our households, until the children of Yisroel inherit/possess each his inheritance.
19for we will not inherit/possess with them on other side Yarden and beyond, because ours is befall our inheritance on the side (of) Yarden, to east.
20has Moshe to them said: if you (PL) will do the this thing, if you (PL) will you (PL) go armed before Hashem's face/countenance on battle,
21and all go armed of you (PL) will go over the Yarden for Hashem's face/countenance, until he dispossess/drive out his enemies from before him,
22and this land will subjugated become before G-d's face/countenance, and you (PL) will self after that return, will you (PL) be tahor/clean before Hashem and before Yisroel, and the this land will you (PL) be to ancestral property before Hashem.
23if but you (PL) will so not do, so has you (PL) sinned before Hashem, and be aware your (PL) punishment which will you (PL) befall.
24build you (PL) towns for your (PL) small children, and folds for your (PL) sheep, but what is (come) out from your mouth shall you (PL) do.
25have the children of Gad and the children of Reuven said to Moshe, so to say: your servants will do so as my master commands.
26our small children, our wives, our livestock, and all our beasts, will be there in the towns of Gil'ad;
27but your servants, each go armed to host/legion, will go over before Hashem's face/countenance on battle, so as my master speaks.
28and Moshe has commanded concerning them El'azar the kohen, and Yehoshua/Yeshua the son of Nun, and the chief people/heads of the father's household of the tribes of the children of Yisroel,
29and Moshe has to them said: if the children of Gad and the children of Reuven, each go armed on battle, will go over with you (PL) the Yarden before Hashem's face/countenance, and this land will subjugated become before your face/countenance, shall you (PL) them give this land Gil'ad to ancestral property.
30if but they will not go over armed with you (PL), shall they get/receive ancestral property among you (PL) in land Canaan.
31have self replied the children of Gad and the children of Reuven, so to say: what Hashem has spoken to your servants, so will we do.
32me will go over armed before Hashem's face, in land Kena'an, and this ancestral property of our inheritance of the side (of) Yarden shall remain with us.
33and Moshe has them, the children of Gad and the children of Reuven and the half tribe of Menasheh the son of Yosef, given this kingdom of Sichon the king of Emori, and this kingdom of Og the king of Bashan, this land according its cities with the borders/territories, the cities of the land around round.
34and the children of Gad have rebuilt Divon, and Atarot, and Aro'er,
35and Atrot Shophan, and Yazer, and Yogbehah,
36and Beit-Nimrah, and Beit-Haran; fortified cities with folds for sheep.
37and the children of Reuven have built Cheshbon, and Elealeh, and Kiryatayim,
38and Nevo, and Ba'al-Me'on – with change names – and Sivmah; and they have called/named with names the cities which they have rebuilt.
39and the children of Machir the son of Menasheh are having gone to Gil'ad, and they have it subjugated, and have driven out the Emori which in it.
40and Moshe has given Gil'ad to Machir the son of Menasheh, and he has self settled/dwelt therein.
41and Yair the son of Menasheh is having gone and has subjugated their towns, and he has them called Chavot Ya'ir.
42and Novach is having gone and has subjugated Kenat with her daughter towns; and he has it called Novach on his name.
