Prayer of Manasses 1 - Revised Version with Apocrypha 1885, 1895(RV1895)

O Lord Almighty, ornament thereof;

of bringing evils upon men. Thou, O Lord, according to thy great goodness hast promised repentance and forgiveness to them that have sinned against thee: and of thine infinite mercies hast appointed repentance unto sinners, O Lord: my transgressions are multiplied, and by reason of my sins, neither have I any respite: for I have provoked thy wrath, and done that which is evil before thee: I did not thy will, neither kept I thy commandments: detestable things.

Now therefore I bow the knee of mine heart, beseeching thee of grace.

I have sinned, O Lord, I have sinned, and O Lord, art the God of them that repent;

and in me thou wilt shew all thy goodness: for thou wilt save me, that am unworthy, according to thy great mercy.

And I will praise thee for ever all the days of my life: Cp. Ps. 103.21 & 148.2.for all the host of heaven doth sing thy praise, and 1 Chr. 29.11. 1 Esd. 4.59. Mat. 6.13 (mg.).thine is the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
