1And after him rose up

10He gave comeliness to the feasts,

And set in order the seasons to perfection,

While they praised his holy name,

And the sanctuary sounded from early morning.

Which is called the God of Israel,

1 Kin. 10.22,27. Thou didst gather gold as tin,

And didst multiply silver as lead.

19 See 1 Kin. 11.1-3. Thou didst bow thy loins unto women,

And in thy body thou wast brought into subjection.

20Thou didst blemish thine honour,

And profane thy seed,

To bring wrath upon thy children;

And I was grieved for thy folly:

Even the foolishness of the people, and one that lacked understanding,

Also Jeroboam the son of Nebat,

See 1 Kin. 12.28-30. Who made Israel to sin,

And gave unto Ephraim a way of sin.

24And their sins were multiplied exceedingly,

2 Kin. 17.6,18. To remove them from their land.

25For they sought out all manner of wickedness,

Till vengeance should come upon them.
