Timothy 2 - New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition 2021(NRSVUE)

Timothy 2Instructions concerning Prayer

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone,

I am not lying), a teacher of the gentiles in faith and truth.

I desire, then, that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or argument,

also that the women should dress themselves in moderate clothing with reverence and self-control, not with their hair braided or with gold, pearls, or expensive clothes,

but with good works, as is proper for women who profess reverence for God.

Let a woman learn in silence with full submission.

I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she is to keep silent.

Gen 1.27; 1 Cor 11.8For Adam was formed first, then Eve,

Gen 3.6; 2 Cor 11.3and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.

Yet she will be saved through childbearing, provided they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.
