Luke 12A Warning against Hypocrisy

1 to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear that one!

6Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten in God’s sight.

7 you will answer or what you are to say,

12for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that very hour what you ought to say.”

The Parable of the Rich Fool

13Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the family inheritance with me.”

14

26If then you are not able to do so small a thing as that, why do you worry about the rest?

27 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.

28But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, you of little faith!

29And do not keep seeking what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not keep worrying.

30 of the world that seek all these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

31Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

32 would not have let his house be broken into.

40 and put him with the unfaithful.

47 or you may be dragged before the judge, and the judge hand you over to the officer, and the officer throw you in prison.

59Mk 12.42I tell you, you will never get out until you have paid the very last penny.”
