My friends keep getting me into trouble. What can I do?

"Stay away from a foolish man. You won't find knowledge in what he says" (Proverbs 14:7).

"Don't let anyone fool you. 'Bad companions make a good person bad'" (1 Corinthians 15:33).

Choose to do the right thing, even if that means leaving your friends.

Someone who keeps getting you into trouble isn't a true friend. You can still be friendly to that person, but you shouldn't spend much time with them. A foolish person will get you into trouble by the bad choices he makes.

Sometimes we get in trouble when we're near someone who's doing the wrong thing because it looks like we're part of it too. Whenever they start doing bad things, try to move away. If you sit by them in school, you can ask the teacher to move you to a different desk. Keep yourself away from temptations to do wrong so you can sit quietly and do your work well.

When a kid keeps causing you problems, talk to your teacher or parents. They can help you solve the problem. You're in control of all the decisions you make, and no one can force you to do wrong things that get you in trouble. Ask God to help you and other kids make right choices.
