Can angels die or get hurt?
"Our fight is not against human beings. It is against the rulers, the authorities and the powers of this dark world. It is against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly world" (Ephesians 6:12).
"Put on the helmet of salvation. And take the sword of the Holy Spirit. The sword is God’s word" (Ephesians 6:17).
Angels cannot die or get hurt like we can.Angels are spirit beings, which means they do not have bodies (Hebrews 1:14). They cannot die or experience pain the same way we do.
The Bible does tell us that demons can experience suffering because they were afraid that Jesus was going to hurt them (Luke 8:28). Since demons are fallen angels, it is possible that angels can hurt too, but the Bible doesn’t tell us exactly.
While the Bible doesn’t tell us directly if angels can die or get hurt, we do know that they cannot get hurt or die in the same sense as human beings can since they are spirit beings. There is so much that we don’t know about angels, but God has given us all that we need in the Bible.
