Will I be able to stop sinning?

"Suppose we claim we are without sin. Then we are fooling ourselves. The truth is not in us. But God is faithful and fair. If we admit that we have sinned, he will forgive us our sins. He will forgive every wrong thing we have done. He will make us pure" (1 John 1:8–9).

"But let us give thanks to God! He wins the battle for us because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done" (1 Corinthians 15:57).

We can't stop sinning while we're on earth. But we can ask God to help us sin less.

When we sin, we feel bad. We want to stop sinning, but it seems like we can’t! Even though we won’t be able to stop sinning completely until we’re in heaven with God, we need to remember that God is all-powerful and He gives us the power to say "no" to sin.

God wants us to do what is right. That’s why He gave us a warning system to tell us when we’re about to do something wrong. It’s called our conscience. Try praying when you first think of doing something wrong. God will help you say "no" to sin and make the right choice instead.

Remember, God forgives us when we sin. If you believe in and follow Jesus, God has forgiven your sin—your sins from yesterday, your sins from today, even your sins that will happen tomorrow. When you sin, confess it and thank God for His forgiveness.

All of God’s children sin. The difference is that we can choose to say "no" to sin by letting God help us. As you grow closer to God, the less you will sin. You will always have some sin in your life while you’re on earth, but pray and ask God to help you grow closer to Him and then rely on Him for help.
