Should we worship Jesus?
"All things were made through him. Nothing that has been made was made without him" (John 1:3).
"...We are waiting for Jesus Christ to appear in his glory. He is our great God and Savior" (Titus 2:13).
"Then they worshiped him. With great joy, they returned to Jerusalem" (Luke 24:52).
Yes, we should worship Jesus because He is God.Jesus is God and we can worship Him. You may have heard of the Trinity. There is one God, but three distinct Persons. The first Person is the Father, the second Person is Jesus, and the third Person is the Holy Spirit. They are all three distinct Persons, but One God.
We know Jesus is God by what the Bible tells us. Paul directly says Jesus is God (Titus 2:13). The Apostle John identifies Jesus as God (John 1:1). The disciples worshipped Jesus as God (John 20:28; Matthew 14:33). Jesus never told them they were wrong. If the disciples were wrong, Jesus would have corrected them.
We also know Jesus is God because of what He did during His earthly life and ministry. Jesus healed people of illnesses, brought back the dead to life, and forgave sins. Only God can do those amazing things! Jesus is God and He is worthy of our worship.
