What is Hinduism?
"God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world. He sent his Son to save the world through him" (John 3:16-17).
"There is only one God. And there is only one go-between for God and human beings. He is the man Christ Jesus. He gave himself to pay for the sins of all people. We have been told this message at just the right time" (1 Timothy 2:5-6).
"I am the one and only LORD. I am the only one who can save you" (Isaiah 43:11).
Hinduism is a false religion, believing in false gods.Hinduism started a very long time ago. The sacred writings of this religion have been dated back to 1400-1500 B.C. Those who believe in Hinduism are called Hindus. Within Hinduism, there are millions of different "gods."
There are many different types and schools of Hinduism so they have different beliefs. Even though there are millions of "gods" in Hinduism, the supreme "god" is Brahma. Brahma is said to be unknowable. Hindus believe Brahma consists of three parts—
• Brahma - Creator
• Vishnu - Preserver
• Shiva - Destroyer
Hinduism believes in "gods," but they also believe mankind is divine. The sacred text of this false religion is the Vedas. The Vedas contain Hinduism beliefs, myths, and stories.
A person cannot come to know the true God through Hinduism. The only true way to know God is through the Bible. Jesus tells us He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Only through believing in Jesus can we be forgiven of the bad things we do and be given eternal life with God. If you know a Hindu, try to be their friend and tell them about Jesus.
