Do I really have to eat the vegetables my parents tell me to eat?

"Don't you know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit? The Spirit is in you. You have received him from God. You do not belong to yourselves. Christ has paid the price for you. So use your bodies in a way that honors God" (1 Corinthians 6:19–20).

"Children, obey your parents in everything. That pleases the Lord" (Colossians 3:20).

Vegetables are good for you, and obeying your parents is right.

God tells you in the Bible to obey your parents. So yes, you should eat your vegetables, even if you don't want to. Your parents want you to eat healthy food like vegetables that have important vitamins and minerals. Your body needs vegetables to grow big and strong.

God made you, so He wants you to take care of your body. You need good food, lots of sleep, plenty of water, and exercise, even when you're grown up. By taking care of your body, you'll have more strength to serve God.
