Does prayer change God’s mind?

"Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need even before you ask him" (Matthew 6:8).

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8).

"Find your delight in the Lord. Then he will give you everything your heart really wants" (Psalm 37:4).

Prayer doesn’t change God’s mind, but prayer can change you.

God doesn’t change His mind. This is because He is completely perfect and holy. Everything God does is perfect (2 Samuel 22:31). God doesn’t have to change His mind like humans do. God never makes mistakes.

Prayer does change our circumstances. This doesn’t mean God will answer all of your prayers exactly as you ask. Instead, He answers your prayers in accordance to His will. Prayer does change your circumstances, but it doesn’t change God’s mind.

God knows what is best for you. He loves you so much! God’s timing and His plans are always best. It is important that you continue to pray even if you don’t see results right away. God answers prayer in His timing and in His way. It can be hard to wait, but God is always worth the wait!
