Can God help me be more brave?

"Be strong and very brave. Make sure you obey the whole law my servant Moses gave you. Do not turn away from it to the right or the left. Then you will have success everywhere you go" (Joshua 1:7).

"'The LORD saved me from the paw of the lion. He saved me from the paw of the bear. And he’ll save me from the powerful hand of this Philistine too.' Saul said to David, 'Go. And may the LORD be with you'" (1 Samuel 17:37).

Yes, God can help you to be more brave.

Bravery can be hard. Being brave doesn’t mean you aren’t afraid. Rather, being brave means that even when you are scared, you do the scary thing anyway. God doesn’t want you to be afraid. He wants you to be brave. Throughout the Bible, we see God encouraging His children to be brave because He is with them (Isaiah 41:13).

There is nothing we need to fear because God is always bigger, stronger, and more powerful than anything or anyone else. We can become brave by resting in the peace of this truth.

We can also remember that God is always with us. We can rest in the truth that God’s plans will never fail. He will always walk beside us throughout our lives.

When you read the Bible, notice all the things God has done for His people. He has never failed anyone and that will not change with you. Remember He is always with you, He has helped you in the past, and that His plans will never fail. Rely on God and rest in His strength.
