Is prayer magic?
"At all times, pray by the power of the Spirit. Pray all kinds of prayers. Be watchful, so that you can pray. Always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people" (Ephesians 6:18).
"Don’t worry about anything. No matter what happens, tell God about everything. Ask and pray, and give thanks to him. Then God’s peace will watch over your hearts and your minds. He will do this because you belong to Christ Jesus. God’s peace can never be completely understood" (Philippians 4:6-7).
No, prayer is not magic. Prayer is talking with God and trusting Him.Prayer is part of a relationship with God. It is not magic. When we pray to God, we do more than ask Him for things and expect Him to give us whatever we want. Instead, prayer is a form of worship. Prayer is a way to get closer to God. Through this worship, God can change us. He changes our thoughts and our desires. We come to love Him more when we pray.
When we believe God, He does promise to answer us. But He doesn't always answer our prayers the way we want Him to. He may say no or ask us to wait. He is all-powerful, so He can answer any prayer that's in His plan for us. He is also all-good, so He will always answer with what's best for us.
