1How long, YHWH?

Will you forget me forever?

How long will you hide your face from me?

2How long must I keep thoughts in my soul,

and sorrow in my heart every day?

How long will my enemy triumph over me?

3Look at me! Answer me, YHWH, my God.

Give light to my eyes,

or else I will sleep in death;

4and my enemy say, “I have overcome him,”

and my adversaries will rejoice when I fall.

5But I trust in your lovingkindness.

My heart rejoices in your salvation.

6I will sing to YHWH,

because ʜᴇ has been good to me.
