1 Thessalonians 2 - Revised Standard Version(RSV)

1For you yourselves know, brethren, that our visit to you was not in vain;

2 among you, like a nurse taking care of her children.

17 1 Cor 5.3. But since we were bereft of you, brethren, for a short time, in person not in heart, we endeavored the more eagerly and with great desire to see you face to face;

18because we wanted to come to you—I, Paul, again and again—but Satan hindered us.

19Phil 4.1; 1 Thess 3.13; 4.15; 5.23; Mt 16.27; Mk 8.38. For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you?

202 Cor 1.14. For you are our glory and joy.
