Did Jesus want to die?
"Christ didn’t have any sin. But God made him become sin for us. So we can be made right with God because of what Christ has done for us" (2 Corinthians 5:21).
"We know what love is because Jesus Christ gave his life for us. So we should give our lives for our brothers and sisters" (1 John 3:16).
Jesus chose to die for us. He knew it would fulfill God’s plan for our salvation.Jesus loves us so much that He chose to die for our sin. The soldiers beat and hurt Him, but He died for us out of love. What hurt Him the most though, was when God placed the sins of the world on Him.
Did Jesus deserve to die? No, He didn’t deserve to die. God did not hurt His Son to be mean or because Jesus deserved it. Instead, He allowed Jesus to die because it was His plan to save us from eternity in hell.
Jesus was willing to die because He loves us so much.
