Does God see everything I do?

"The eyes of the LORD are everywhere. They watch those who are evil and those who are good" (Proverbs 15:3).

"'Can anyone hide in secret places so that I can’t see him?' announces the LORD. 'Don’t I fill heaven and earth?' announces the LORD" (Jeremiah 23:24).

Yes, God sees all things.

God does see every single thing we do. He even knows what we think! God is omniscient (om-nish-ent), a big word that means all-knowing. God sees the good things we do, like telling the truth, being helpful, using kind words, forgiving people who hurt us, and obeying our parents and teachers. Those things please Him.

On the other hand, each one of us has done wrong things that displease God. God has seen our sins and must punish us for them. But because He loves us, God sent His Son Jesus to take the punishment for the sins of those who turn from their sin and trust Jesus. Find out how Jesus can take your punishment—click here!
