Does the original Bible still exist?
"God has breathed life into all Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right" (2 Timothy 3:16).

Yes and no. While no one has the original Bible, God made sure that the copies we have today are accurate and trustworthy.The Bible took a very long time to write! In fact, the Bible was written over the course of 1,500 years by many different authors, who were all led by the Holy Spirit. Throughout time, God has preserved His Word and what we have now in our Bible is the true Word of God. Isn’t it amazing how God has protected His Word over the course of such a long time?!
We know that our Bibles today are accurate because we have lots and lots of really old copies of the Bible. By comparing them, we can know exactly what the original Bible said.
We can be confident that the Bible we have today is the Word of God because the Bible confirms it. The Bible is our ultimate authority and we know that God is always faithful. God has kept His Word safe for us, so that we can read and learn about Him today. Think about that...God has kept the Bible safe all this time, so that you could read it and get to know Him through His Word!
