Unlike Hinduism’s belief in reincarnation or ultimate absorption into a universal essence depending on how one lived their life on earth, Christianity presents a personal, loving God who created humanity for a relationship with Him. Sin separates us from God, and no amount of good works can bridge that gap (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9). However, God offers forgiveness and eternal life as a free gift through Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23). Jesus, fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died as a substitute for our sins, and rose again to defeat sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Salvation comes by grace through faith in Him, not by works (Ephesians 2:8-9).
