Was Jesus a real person or was He pretend?
"Here is what we announce to everyone about the Word of life [Jesus]. He was already here from the beginning. We have heard him. We have seen him with our eyes. We have looked at him. Our hands have touched him" (1 John 1:1).
"What I received I passed on to you. And it is the most important of all. Here is what it is. Christ died for our sins, just as Scripture said he would. He was buried. He was raised from the dead on the third day, just as Scripture said he would be. He appeared to Peter. Then he appeared to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than 500 believers at the same time" (1 Corinthians 15:3–6a).
Jesus was a real person who lived on earth 2,000 years ago, and He still lives in heaven.Jesus really was alive like us. He left heaven and was born on this earth as a baby. We celebrate His birth at Christmas. The Bible stories we read about Jesus are true. In fact, we can study Jesus in history books that were written shortly after Jesus died.
You should be excited and eager to learn all you can about Jesus. He is the only way to heaven! "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6).
