Is it okay for me to watch anime?
"Think about things that are in heaven. Don’t think about things that are only on earth" (Colossians 3:2).
"I destroy every claim and every reason that keeps people from knowing God. I keep every thought under control in order to make it obey Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:5).
"So eat and drink and do everything else for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31).
Christians need to be careful when watching anime. Some aspects of anime are good, but some aspects are not honoring to God.Anime is Japanese animation. This type of art form is not inherently bad. It is only when the artists turn anime into something perverted that it becomes wrong. A lot of anime promotes sin. Christians do not need to be involved in anything that promotes sin.
The Bible tells us to focus only on good things (Philippians 4:8). Anime does have some positive aspects, such as promoting kindness and friendship. These things are good. But Christians need to be cautious when viewing anime.
Be discerning and avoid watching anything that causes us to sin against God.
