Is it ok to pledge allegiance to the flag of my country?

Yes, it is okay to pledge allegiance to the flag of your country.We can make pledges, as long as those pledges do not take the place of God (Acts 5:29). You know that you are first and foremost devoted to God. We need to be devoted to God first and our country second.
As believers, the Bible tells us to be good citizens. Part of being a good citizen is obeying authority. We show respect to authorities when we pledge allegiance to the flag.
Since we are to model Jesus in everything we do, we need to be peaceable by respecting our countries. It is perfectly fine to pledge allegiance to the flag of your country.
