What does it mean to wait on the Lord?
"Wait for the Lord. Be strong and don’t lose hope. Wait for the Lord" (Psalm 27:14).
"The Lord is my light, and he saves me. Why should I fear anyone? The Lord is my place of safety. Why should I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1).
"Here is what we can be sure of when we come to God in prayer. If we ask anything in keeping with what he wants, he hears us" (1 John 5:14).
You can wait on the Lord by trusting Him, seeking Him, and praying to Him.Waiting on the Lord requires patience. Patience can be hard sometimes, but there are things you can do when waiting on the Lord. Waiting on the Lord requires you to trust Him. Trusting others can be hard, but you can always trust God. He is completely worthy of your trust.
Seeking God is another thing you can do while waiting on Him. You can seek Him out by reading the Bible. Being involved with a community of believers will also help you seek God.
Prayer can help you wait on the Lord. When David prayed in the Bible, he completely trusted that God would answer his prayers. You too can be confident in God. No matter what is happening in your life, you can wait on the Lord by trusting Him, seeking Him, and praying to Him.
