How can I be more like Christ?

"Instead, we will speak the truth in love. So we will grow up in every way to become the body of Christ. Christ is the head of the body. He makes the whole body grow and build itself up in love. Under the control of Christ, each part of the body does its work. It supports the other parts. In that way, the body is joined and held together" (Ephesians 4:15-16).

"Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Glory belongs to him both now and forever. Amen" (2 Peter 3:18).

"Don’t live the way this world lives. Let your way of thinking be completely changed. Then you will be able to test what God wants for you. And you will agree that what he wants is right. His plan is good and pleasing and perfect" (Romans 12:2).

You can become more like Christ by learning about Him in the Bible and applying what you learn to your life.

The best way to become like a specific person is by learning about him or her. The best way to learn about Jesus is by reading the Bible and studying how Jesus lived, how He reacted to others, and how He treated people. Once you know Jesus better, you will be able to become more like Him.

Simply reading the Bible won’t make you like Christ though. The next step is putting the knowledge you learned into practice. When you read the Bible, it should touch your heart. It should change the way you look at things. Your character will begin to reflect Christ.

Becoming more like Christ will take time. It won’t happen overnight. As you deepen your relationship with Him, the more you will become like Him. The first step is accepting Him as your Savior and then living for Him. With the help of the Holy Spirit, you will become more and more like Christ each day.
