Does Satan have the same power as God?
"The God who gives peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord be with you" (Romans 16:20).
Satan is powerful, but not as powerful as God.Satan was created by God as an angel, but Satan rebelled against God (Isaiah 14:13). We need God’s power to overcome Satan’s strength (Ephesians 6:12). God’s power is much greater than the power of Satan.
In fact, Romans 16:20 teaches, "The God who gives peace will soon crush Satan under your feet." Satan is no match compared to God. God created all things, including Satan, and can stop him at any time. In the end, Satan will be thrown into a lake of burning sulfur forever (Revelation 20:10).
We do not need to fear Satan if God is on our side. Romans 8:38 promises, "I am absolutely sure that not even death or life can separate us from God’s love. Not even angels or demons, the present or the future, or any powers can separate us." Verse 31 adds, "Since God is on our side, who can be against us?"
