How did people in the Bible travel from one place to another?

Sometimes people walked and other times, they rode animals.

We’re used to traveling to other places using cars, trains, planes, and buses. These modes of transportation weren’t invented yet during Bible times. People usually walked from one place to another. If the journey was long, they might pack a tent and camp along the way.

Sometimes people rode on animals like donkeys, horses, or camels. Rich people might have chariots that were pulled by horses. There were also boats for water travel.
