Shout (Noun and Verb):
"a call, summons, shout of command" (akin to keleuo, "to command"), is used in 1Th 4:16 of the "shout" with which (en, "in," denoting the attendant circumstances) the Lord will descend from heaven at the time of the rapture of the saints (those who have fallen asleep, and the living) to meet Him in the air. The "shout" is not here said to be His actual voice, though this indeed will be so (Jhn 5:28). In the Sept., Pro 30:27, "(the locusts... at the) word of command (march in rank)."
