Weep, Weeping:

is used of "any loud expression of grief," especially in mourning for the dead, Mat 2:18; Mar 5:38, 39; 16:10; Luk 7:13; 8:52 (twice); Jhn 11:31, 33 (twice); Jhn 20:11 (twice), Jhn 20:13, 15; Act 9:39; otherwise, e.g., in exhortations, Luk 23:28; Rom 12:15; Jam 4:9; 5:1; negatively, "weep not," Luk 7:13; 8:52; 23:28; Rev 5:5 (cp. Act 21:13); in Rev 18:9, RV, "shall weep" (AV, "bewail")

"to shed tears" (dakruon, "a tear"), is used only of the Lord Jesus, Jhn 11:35.
