We can't stress enough that making a choice like suicide is absolutely wrong. The Bible tells us that murder is sin (Exodus 20:13), that includes murdering yourself. Suicide does not "fix" the problems of life; in fact, it creates countless new problems for everybody impacted by the death of the one who dies by suicide. We also want to be totally clear that even though suicide is wrong, the Bible never says that suicide is an unforgivable sin. Nothing can separate the true believer from the love of God (Romans 8:1; 37-39). If you or someone you know struggles with or is talking about suicide, please get help right away.

You are not the first person who has ever felt the way you're feeling. The Bible talks about believers in God who wanted to choose suicide, but God did not approve of their plans to kill themselves. Take a minute to go read Jonah 4! Jonah got so angry that he wanted to die! Can you imagine being so mad? Also, in the book of Job, Job wanted to die during his time of suffering, yet God stepped in and eventually blessed him after his struggle was over.
Everyone has hard times and may think that death is the easiest solution, but those who regularly talk or write about suicide are usually at a more serious point and are in need of help right away. If this is you, you must get up right now and talk to someone about it.
No matter how rough life might be, suicide is never the best answer. Even in His darkest moments, Jesus still took the pain of the cross rather than taking an easier option. Just imagine the pain He faced, yet God used Christ's suffering and death as the sacrifice for all of our sins. And how grateful we are that He did!
When life seriously hurts, a believer can turn to God for strength and peace. Of course, that doesn't mean that you can say a prayer and everything will be happy-go-lucky. You and I both know that it doesn't always work that way. But God is stronger than we are, and He knows how things will turn out on the other side of this. Don't forget that you can also find help from others who can encourage and support you. You may feel like no one cares, but trust me, there is someone who does. Pray for God to bring that person to you.
Remember, Christ came to offer eternal life in Heaven (John 3:16) as well as abundant life on Earth (John 10:10). We must faithfully trust in Him and follow Him, allowing God to determine how many days we have left to live.
