God is great, powerful, eternal, and amazing. He is understood to be Trine, omnipotent, omnipresent, and the source of all things. In some ways, He will be unknowable to humanity in its fallen, mortal existence. Despite the immensity of who He is, He chose to create the universe, angels, heaven, the planet, the plants and animals, and even mankind, which He made in His own image.
In order for people to know Him, God reached out to humanity in many ways. He speaks through the Holy Spirit; God the Son took on flesh and lived as a man; He left His fingerprint all over nature. Finally, He left the Bible as a written account of His plan. It also gives insight into His character. For people who want to understand God, they can use the Word of God and prayer to learn more about Him.
