Can I read fiction books since they aren’t true?

Yes, Christians can read fiction books.Fiction books are made-up stories, but this doesn’t mean the authors are lying to us. A fictional story is used to teach, instruct, or entertain us.
The Bible has a lot of storytelling in it, including Jesus’ parables. A parable is story with a spiritual lesson that helps us know God better. Jesus told parables to help people understand something about God or the Christian life. Jesus wanted to help the people understand what He was saying by using examples they were familiar with.
