If God made spiders, is it ok to squish them? Is killing bugs ok?
"LORD, you have made so many things! How wise you were when you made all of them! The earth is full of your creatures" (Psalm 104:24).
"God saw everything he had made. And it was very good…" (Genesis 1:31a).
Squishing spiders and killing bugs is not a sin, but it is not always necessary.God made many wonderful and interesting creatures! Spiders are just one of the amazing things He created. Many people are scared of spiders or other bugs, and it's true that there are some spiders that are dangerous to humans. But if you see a spider outside in its natural habitat, there is no need for you to kill it. Some spiders are beneficial and get rid of other insect pests. And their webs are like beautiful works of art!
If you see a spider or bug inside your home, there's nothing wrong with squishing it. But some people prefer to catch spiders or bugs in a glass or a tissue and release them outside. Either choice is ok, and God will not be upset with you if you kill a spider.
