Why should the Bible be our source for right and wrong?

"In those days Israel didn’t have a king. The people did anything they thought was right" (Judges 17:6).

"God has breathed life into all Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right" (2 Timothy 3:16).

"Prophecy never came simply because a prophet wanted it to. Instead, the Holy Spirit guided the prophets as they spoke. So, although prophets are human, prophecy comes from God" (2 Peter 1:21).

The Bible should be our source for right and wrong because it is God’s Word.

Everything written in the Bible is to teach, guide, and help us (2 Timothy 3:16). Since we are humans, we will make mistakes. If we are left to make our own decisions with our sinful human conscience, we will most likely make a bad choice.

The world around us does not tell us what is right or wrong. The Bible tells us what is right and wrong. Everything written in the Bible is 100% true and good for us. Just like eating an apple a day keeps the doctor away, reading the Bible will help us make the right decisions.

The culture we live in will try to make us believe right is wrong and wrong is right. As Christians, we know there is only one right way. The right way is following Jesus. God knows what is best for us. By having the Bible as our source for right and wrong, it will help us shine bright like stars for Jesus!
