Who will go to heaven?

"God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world. He sent his Son to save the world through him" (John 3:16-17).

"When you sin, the pay you get is death. But God gives you the gift of eternal life. That’s because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done" (Romans 6:23).

"God’s grace has saved you because of your faith in Christ. Your salvation doesn’t come from anything you do. It is God’s gift. It is not based on anything you have done. No one can brag about earning it" (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Those who believe in Jesus as their Savior will go to heaven.

When a person dies, their soul will either go to heaven or hell. A person will only go to heaven if they have believed in Jesus as their Savior.

Going to heaven is not based on anything you do. No amount of “good deeds” will help you go to heaven. The only way to go to heaven is by believing in Jesus (John 14:6). There is no other way to heaven. If you believe in Jesus, you will be with God forever.

Sadly, those who do not believe in Jesus will go to hell when they die. Since we are all born into sin and we all freely sin, we are separated from the Father (Romans 3:23). Thankfully, Jesus died for our sin and rose again! It is not until we believe in Jesus that we have a repaired relationship with the Father. When you believe in Jesus, you are given forgiveness of sins and you receive eternal life with God in heaven.
