Why was Moses afraid to go see Pharaoh?

"...I will never leave you. I will never desert you" (Joshua 1:5).

"Finally, let the Lord make you strong. Depend on his mighty power" (Ephesians 6:10).

Moses was afraid to go to Pharaoh because he didn't think he could speak very well.

Have you ever felt afraid to go to school because you had a big speech or project to give in class? Maybe you were afraid you would stutter or mess up your words.

That's a little bit how Moses felt. He was afraid he couldn't speak very well. Exodus 4:10 says, "Moses spoke to the LORD. He said, 'Lord, I’ve never been a good speaker. And I haven’t gotten any better since you spoke to me. I don’t speak very well at all.'" The Bible doesn’t say why Moses felt this way. God showed him many signs and also sent his brother-in-law, Aaron, with him to help. Moses became a godly and powerful leader with God's help.

God is always with us, whether we’re giving a speech in class or talking to a Pharaoh! God uses us even when we think can't do it. He knows how special we are and what special talents we have.
