Strait (Be in A), Straitened:

"to hold together, constrain," is translated "I am in a strait" in Phl 1:23 (Passive Voice), i.e., being restricted on both sides, under a pressure which prevents a definite choice; so in Luk 12:50, "(how) am I straitened," i.e., pressed in.

Strait (Be in A), Straitened:

"to be pressed for room" (stenos, "narrow," choros, "a space"), is rendered "to be straitened" in 2Cr 4:8, RV (AV, "distressed"); 2Cr 6:12 (twice).

for which see AFFLICT, No. 4, is used in the perfect participle Passive of "a narrowed way," in Mat 7:14, RV, "straitened," AV, "narrow," of the way "that leadeth unto life," i.e., hemmed in like a narrow gorge between rocks.
