Sleight:
slit: No connection with "slight," but from the same root as "sly" and so =" cunning." So in Eph 4:14, "sleight of men," for kubeia, "dice-plalying" (compare "cube") "gamblers' tricks" "trickery."
Sleight: Trickery; Entrapment by Deceit.
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the SLEIGHT of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. (Ephesians 4:14)
Sleight:
denotes "dice playing" (from kubos, "a cube, a die" as used in gaming); hence, metaphorically, "trickery, sleight," Eph 4:14. The Eng. word is connected with "sly" ("not with slight").
