"zeal, jealousy," is rendered "jealousy" in the RV (AV, "envying") in Rom 13:13; 1Cr 3:3; Jam 3:14, 16; in 2Cr 12:20 (AV, "envyings"); in Gal 5:20, RV "jealousies" (AV, "emulations"); in Act 5:17 (AV, "indignation"); in Act 13:45 (AV, "envy"); in 2Cr 11:2 it is used in the phrase "with a godly jealousy," lit., "with a jealousy of God" (RV, marg.).
