from kollubos (lit., "clipped"), "a small coin or rate of change" (koloboo signifies "to cut off, to clip, shorten," Mat 24:22), denotes "a money-changer," lit., money-clipper, Mat 21:12; Mar 11:15; Jhn 2:15.

from kermatizo (not found in the NT), "to cut into small pieces, to make small change" (kerma signifies "a small coin," Jhn 2:15; akin to keiro, "to cut short").
