Dictionaries :: Arbathite

Easton's Bible Dictionary

Arbathite:

a name given to Abi-albon, or, as elsewhere called, Abiel, one of David's warriors (2Sa 23:31; 1Ch 11:32), probably as being an inhabitant of Arabah (Jos 15:61), a town in the wilderness of Judah.

International Standard Bible Encyclopaedia

Arbathite:

ar'-bath-it (ha-‘arbhathi): Perhaps "a native of the Arabah." Klostermann suggests "a native of Beth-arabah." The Arbathite is Abi-albon (2Sa 23:31), also named Abiel (1Ch 11:32), one of David's heroes.
