Active:

lit., "in work" (cp. Eng., "energetic"), is used

(a) of the Word of God, Hbr 4:12 (RV, "active," AV, "powerful");

(b) of a door for the Gospel, 1Cr 16:9, "effectual;"

(c) of faith, Phm 1:6, "effectual."
