(1) One of those who put away their "strange wives" (1 Esdras 9:27) equals "Mattaniah" of Ezra 10:26.
(2) the King James Version "Mathanias" (1 Esdras 9:31) equals "Mattaniah" of Ezra 10:30. Codex Vaticanus, followed by Swete, reads Beskaspasmus.
