for which see BEFORE, No. 9, is translated "in the sight of" in the RV (for AV, "before") in Luk 12:6; 15:18; 16:15; Act 7:46; 10:33; 19:19; 1Ti 5:4, 21; 2Ti 2:14; 4:1; Rev 13:12. The RV is more appropriate in most passages, as giving the real significance of the word.
