Requite: Recompense; Return; Restore; Repay.
And when Joseph's brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly REQUITE us all the evil which we did unto him. (Genesis 50:15)
Requite:
"a requital, recompence" (akin to ameibomai, "to repay," not found in the NT), is used with the verb apodidomi, "to render," in 1Ti 5:4, and translated "to requite." This use is illustrated in the papyri by way of making a return, conferring a benefaction in return for something (Moulton and Milligan).
