Dine, Dinner:
primarily, "to breakfast" (see B), was later used also with the meaning "to dine," e.g., Luk 11:37; in Jhn 21:12, 15, RV, "break your fast," and "had broken their fast," for AV, "dine;" obviously there it was the first meal in the day. In the Sept., Gen 43:25; 1Sa 14:24; 1Ch 13:7.
