International Standard Bible Encyclopaedia

Chub:

chub (kubh).

Nave's Topical Bible

Chub: A People Who Were an Ally Tribe to Egypt

And probably inhabited Africa,

Eze 30:5.

Smith's Bible Dictionary

Chub:

the name of a people in alliance with Egypt in the time of Nebuchadnezzar (Ezekiel 30:5) and probably of northern Africa.

Cub:

kub (kubh; the King James Version Chub): The word occurs only in Eze 30:5. There it is almost certainly a corruption, and we should read, as in Septuagint, "Lub," i.e. Libya. Libya, in the earlier part of the same verse (the King James Version), is a mistr of "Put," thus correctly rendered in the Revised Version (British and American).
