1if I speak already with the tongues of men and angels, have however not any love, am I a resounding copper or a jingling cymbal.
2and when I have prophecy and know all mysteries and every knowledge; and have even the whole faith, even to to be able to to move mountains, have however not any love, am I nothing.
3and when I distribute out my entire fortune to feed the hungry, and when I give over my body to be burned, have however not any love, helps it me nothing.
4the love is patient, merciful; the love is not envious; the love boasts self not, blows self no airs;
5behaves self not on immodestly, seeks not its own, provokes (to anger) self not, thinks not any evil.
6rejoices self not on any wrong, but rejoices yes with the truth;
7it covers over all things; believes all things, hopes all things; endure all things over.
8the love goes never not under (never fails); but if there are there prophecies, will they come to nought to be; if tongues, will they cease; if knowledge, will it abolished to be.
9because we know partly, and our prophecies saying is partial;
10when however the perfection will come, will the partial come to nought to be.
11when I was a child, have I spoken as a child, have understood as a child, did think as a child; when however I am become a man, have I put aside the childish things.
12because now see we in a mirror, and in an enigma; then however face to face; now know I in part, then however will I know (fully), exactly in this way as I am also (fully) known.
13and now remains faith, hope, love, the these three; however the greatest of the these is the love.
